Summerschool
The five day intensive Summerschool helps you to reflect upon a career in the Groninger Life Sciences. Two important career options are highlighted: science and entrepreneurship.Participants from various disciplines (e.g., life sciences, economics, management, law, natural sciences) who are at the final stage of their studies or who have a completed MA or MSc degree or PhD are welcome.
Many life scientists have to make a choice as to whether to pursue a career in science or in an innovative company. The Summerschool offers an excellent opportunity to think about the next move. For non-life scientists the Summerschool offers the opportunity to become more familiar with the Life Sciences sector. Multidisciplinary teams are of utmost importance for a successful entrepreneurial company.

- Creating value from intellectual property
- Obtaining seed or start-up capital
- How to apply for grants
- How to build a scientific consortium
- How to turn a research idea into a business concept
- Characteristics required for becoming a successful entrepreneur

The Summerschool will take place from Monday 24th till Friday 28th of August.
